Behind the words "foundation", or "organization" there are always people and their stories. In this case, there is only one person behind this foundation.
And this is me. My name is Yana, and I have been rescuing homeless animals for over 14 years, although in reality, it all started much earlier.
When I was 5 years old, I brought home my first kitten from the street. It was a black and white cat, I named her Murka. At the age of 6, I was helping her to give birth. She stubbornly demanded to give birth under my blanket, so I sat and held the blanket. Then the first kitten was born, which will remain in my heart for the rest of my life. It fell upside down from the bed; Murka and I were very scared. She meowed loudly, and I climbed under the bed to get it. We decided to let this kitten live with us, and I named him Shpuntik.
At the age of 8, I brought home a five-year-old girl (a human). She was from an unfortunate family and wandered the streets in the rain all day. I asked my mother to wash her and leave her to live with us.
At the age of 10, I was feeding birds that had fallen out of a nest and also took care of injured hares found in the field. Hedgehogs wintered behind our closet, and plates of milk under the haystack were a treat for them all year round. My parents' yard was filled with abandoned puppies, which I collected from all over the district. My father was supportive and built kennels for them. When it was winter, the smallest puppies lived in boxes in the kitchen under a warm stove that heated the house.
18 years have passed since I left my parents' house. I have been actively rescuing animals from the streets for 14 years and looking for new families for them — hundreds of cats, dogs, and birds. There are many seriously ill and weak among them. But I don't give up. I fight for their lives. Unfortunately, losses happen, but I use all the chances in treatment. Their lives should not depend on my financial capabilities, which is why I founded this foundation and am constantly looking for ways to help further. I am looking for people who are not indifferent to the fate of stray animals. That's why I say — do NOT be indifferent! Join the foundation and do not pass by those who need salvation. TAKE A CAT — behind this foundation is whole my life, my big story.
